Former Army General Jim Molan says ethics in warfare is vital after allegations of war crimes were made against ADF members in Afghanistan.

The allegations, published in Fairfax media, detail a so-called ‘rouge’ group of Australian special forces acting in an unsanctioned way and with disregard to human life.

The Defence Minister Marise Payne has defended the work of special forces soldiers and insists the claims will be investigated.

Mr Molan told Sky News that the ADF does not have a culture issue but soldiers must act honourably in conflict.
