What’s open state by state this long weekend?

Posted on

IT’S the second weekend of June, which can only mean one thing — it’s Queen Elizabeth’s birthday, a celebrated three-day weekend in every state except for QLD and WA.

For most of us, the actual public holiday — Monday, June 11 — will mark the third day of a long weekend.

And what better way is there to celebrate the monarch’s bid day, than by heading to the shops, grabbing some tea, biscuits and maybe even a bevvie?

NSW:

All Woolworths stores are OPEN on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday on Monday, except Sydney Metcentre and 333 George Street, which will be closed.

Most Coles stores are trading as normal, but some will have reduced hours.

And if you fancy a spot of shopping on Monday, these are the centres that are open: Birkenhead Point, closing at 6pm, Broadway, closing at 6pm, Rhodes Waterside, closing at 6pm and Moonee Ponds Central, closing at 5pm.
